Great pastel portrait and the crop works a treat too

Love the concentration in his expression and how he is completely in his own world. Beautifully painted and the cropping works. Dry well Christine.

This is superb Christine, love the pose and seeing just a glimpse of his hand on the fingerboard as a result of 'cropping' works brilliantly. I also love the 'shine' on the edges of the guitar's body. I agree totally with you Christine about drawing guitars, they're a nightmare!

You have captured the expression really well.

The crop was a master stroke Christine, a super portrait.

Super drawing Christine, he's really in the zone. Agree about guitars.

Great portrait Christine, you really have captured that look of concentration and pleasure.

Excellent pastel portrait, he's in the zone.

Thank you Heather, Carole, David, Fiona, Roger and Denise for such kind comments. Russell and Lewis, it makes me feel much better that you feel the same about guitars!

Incredible painting Christine. Great expression and composition. The crop really works.

Nice one Christine, I agree the crop works a treat.

A4 pastels and pastel pencils on anthracite pastelmat. A great guitarist and from a photo courtesy of Nigel Plant - cropped because I really don’t like doing whole guitars!
