Acrylic on canvas board 20x24ins. Silver Birches can look very elegant but for colour, texture and pattern they are beaten every time by these Common Birches. I've had trouble photographing it - the light filtering through is not white but pale primrose yellow, which is a bit frustrating when the lighting was one of the prime inspirations for doing it!
