Your series of trees is quite singular. They are beautiful in composition and character. I like this one very much for the tension created by its branches.

I love this one with the history and all. I don't know how you possibly can paint so accurently but they are just stunning.

Just enjoyed a trip around your gallery. Your trees are all so beautifully painted.

I should love to see your paintings in the flesh.

Acrylic on canvas board 16x20ins. I love trees in winter, so I repainted a rejected July picture into a December one, as an opportunity to practice low-key colour harmonies, so I didn't bother with fussy detail (there is an accurate drawing in the "Poisonous Plants" book we published). The camera has 'seen' through my muted glazes and isolated colour (infuriating) so imagine the original being a little more muted than this. The real tree is in the churchyard at Crowhurst, Surrey, and has been calculated at about 4,000 years old. It's 32 feet round.
