Well Chris I said I was looking forward to seeing HMS Seagull and I have not been disappointed. It's a GOODIE ! You have captured the atmosphere of a warship at speed. More please!

Great drawing with super detail. The only thing I observe is that it might be an idea to have less above the ship as having all that sky rather makes the boat look a little lost down the bottom of the page. Just a personal view and can be ignored!

Thea, alas I was limited by the size of the paper! Not wide enough. But I can always chop some off the top. Next time I will scale the picture to fit the paper. Barry, I will try to do more but the garden beckons!! Besides, we had an excellent workshop today on pastels and I must use the knowledge gained. (Use it or lose it!) Maybe pastel warships? Thank you both for your encouragement. I am glad you like the picture

An unusual view of a Victorian torpedo gunboat copied from a photograph taken sometime between 1889 and 1909. There is an atmosphere of speed and menace in this picture. I hope this is going to be the first of many more drawings of RN ships, old and new.
