HMS Erin at sea 1916 by Chris Howat
HMS Erin, a battleship in the grand Fleet, 1914 to 1916 and fought at Jutland. Originally ordered by Turkey before the war, she was impounded (Turkey was an enemy) and completed early on by Britain. She was a one off, her main armament in five turrets. Here she is returning home to Scapa Flow for tea after gunnery practice at sea
