Snowdrops4

Hi Chris, very good background. I feel that I like the bunch of snowdrops on green-blue background the most. They are the most delicate and transparent. The stalks and leaves in this picture lack that lightness and transparency and feel a bit too heavy.

Olga .Thank you for all your constuctive comments. I totally agree with you about the lack of transparency in my paintings. When I first started painting 5 years ago my colours were so wishy washy. I am now over compensating by laying on my colours too thickly. I am working on it and hope to correct this flaw.

well i think if you can t'ell what the subject is meant to be, that is the point, and i can tell they are snowdrops, if i had attempted to paint snowdrops, you can forget the painting even resembling them :-p Really good painting, and i look forward to seeing more versions of them when you fee like it :-)
