What a great painting Chris - not only are the colours and textures lovely but it shows a mother's protection and care for her young, so there's an emotional impact too. Let's hope this little one doesn't end up in a pie!

On velour paper. I think I am beginning to get to know this paper a bit better now. This is painted to hang on the wall of my daughters recently acquired farm shop, so the customers know where the beef comes from for the pies.
