Intrepid Explorers by Clare Howell
I often walk the Pembrokshire coastal path with my son and love to observe him just being a child. This painting depicts my memory of a glorious summer's day when he was showing a friend the climb down to the sea at a tiny inlet along the cliffs. I have used collage and the multi-layered textures which feature in much of my work to emphasize the vibrancy of the landscape on that day. There are a few humourous inclusions, if you look closely.
