I find coloured pencils to be a difficult medium as they are unforgiving. But you have done extremely well with the texture of the petals especially the pink ones.

Thank you Linda. I had used coloured pencils 2 or 3 times at art class some years ago and enjoyed them. Decided I would like to try again. There is so much to learn about them but I am enjoying doing so.

Like the delicate treatment and the slanting striped background gives movement to the composition.

This is my second attempt at coloured pencil work. This one was done on Daler Rowney cartridge paper and is roughly 9" x 7".For some strange reason the printer changed the colours in the original photo I copied from but I rather liked them so I went with it.
