Thank you very much - I think this is my favourite of the four. I appreciate all comments and advise on how to improve.

This a lovely painting of Orchids, I might suggest that you have a look at the shadows where leaves and petals overlap take a peeve of tracing paper lay over the picture then put in the darks on the tracing paper and you will see the difference. I was given this tip quite a while ago but it has helped me see what I am missing remember this is only a suggestion but its worth a try .you can contact me via my contact number if you wish to Good luck Chas.

Hello Tao, many thanks for your comment on the painting. This water colour was done a number of years ago when I belonged to a local art society. I do not consider myself in any way a watercolour proficient artist much preferring the control of pencil. I have tried to improve my shadowing, Adele is always pointing out where I need to improve - bad habits die hard. regards - Chas Elgood
