Amazing how you can make a lovely painting out of a simple scene. Lovely bright colours. I like the bold red colour against the lights.

Looser and less detailed than your usual style - but I like it; you're doing something different, so are likely to be uncertain about it; works well and opens up the composition. And you've still got your warm colours in there. You can't stand still in painting, and you're not - so: das ist gut!

Gorgeous colour here Charles! I agree with Robert, it's good to try something different and this painting is good!

Agree with everyone, Love the colors and the style here.

Hi Charles, just checking out your use of oil pastels, it'a good tip, thank you. Sometimes oils do need a bit of a lift ocassionally. In my case I do tend to use a dull palette of colours. I might treat myself to a starter set, which colours would you reccomend for landscapes?

Very good painting. Over emphasis of colours works well.

like the bold use of colour in this one
