I think that's a combination of Herr Sigmund and you - and so often, when we paint portraits we include elements of ourselves; and that's no problem. As a psychiatrist, would you really want your patients to undergo the intensity of that gaze.... though; I saw a few, many years ago: most of them avoided my eye rather than met it. It's a commanding image, anyway - don't hesitate to add more colour to your flesh tones, though.
