Cesare, I think this is very "you". I like the tones in this and the slightly different palette. Did you paint it with a mirror or from a photo?

Hi Marjorie, thank you for your comment. I painted it from a photo. It is very hard to paint a portrait on yupo paper, because the colours flows freely on the paper, but I'm quite satisfied with the result. Give my best to Ralph.

A very good likeness, Cesare - a portrait with lots of character...

Great portrait Cesare. A very characterful face.

Excellent portrait.

Great work Cesare, 😀

Handsome Cesare. Nice work.

Nice expression captured in the eyes Cesare

Thank you Jan, Carole, Stephen, Linda, Gudrun, Michael and Lynne for your generous comments.

I have no idea what Yupo paper is but the result is quite exiting Cesare, I love the looseness of it.

Hi Satu, thank you for your comment. Yupo paper is a completely syntethic paper that look like photography paper with a very smooth surface. In this paper the colours flow freely and it is hard to master their flow. That is why made portraits is very hard. One of the best characteristics of this paper is that the potential for wonderful, near abstract flows of paint and creative patterns is unlimited, and you can easily erase all mistakes and repaint it.

Interesting marks and great colour - super portrait, Cesare

Thank you Maureen for your kind comment.

Thank you Cesare very much for the information, sounds really fun!
