Like the the loose approach toward the body, drawing attentions to the facial features. Do you find your background helps with your figure studies?

Really good!

Thank you Stephen and Tymothy for your kind comments. Hi Stephen, I usually paint on my portraits a backgrounf with light hues of some colour I used for portrait. Mary White says: "the background is one of the single most important element of a composition and can make or breaK a painting". Isn't always easy to choose background colours. I don't use backgrounds for my quick sketches.

Super work Cesare, I like the sketchiness of it.

Love the just-do-it approach to this Cesare. Good work.

Thank you Fiona and Jim for your kind comments.

I like this but feel it needs a little more work on the shapes.

Lovely washes, beautifully controlled, Cesare.

Very well painted, as Stephen says a lovely loose approach
