Welcome back Cesare! A wonderful portrait, like Lynne says the eyes are great but so is the softness of that luscious beard.

Thank you Lynne and carole for your kind comments.

Beautiful tones and washes Cesare, welcome back.

Its good to see you back Cesare and with a lovely portrait added also.

Ben tornato Cesare. And back with a great portrait - wonderful eyes!

Thank you Fiona, David, Nikolaos, and Marjorie for your kind comments.

Great Job Cesare.. super tonal work on his features..

The great man himself! Fantastic work Cesare.

Wow, what a character you have given him. Love those eyebrows !

Gorgeous portrait Cesare, but why didn't you do one of Freud (or is it Fraud). I can't say he was one of my favourites, when I did my psychology degree.

Your portraits just keep improving, excellent work Cesare.

Thank you Guy, Satu, Sharon, Linda and andré for your kind appreciations. Hi Linda, I made many time ago a monochrome portrait of Freud, but I willing take your suggestion for a new portrait.

A beautiful portrait and wonderful eyes.

Lovely colour and flow.

Thank you Ellen, Georgiana and Russel for your kind comments.

Welcome back Cesare, I've missed your wonderful work. I like this one very much.

Thanks so much Margaret.

Just....WOW!!

Thank you, Ruth.

Lifelike portrait, Cesare!

Well worth waiting for. Those eyes and brows are great.

Thank you Ezio and Gudrun for your kind comments.

Great contrast in the shaded areas!

Thank you Christof, much appreciated.

Watercolour on Canson paper 120lb A4. Dear Friends, I apologize for not having commented your paintings for a long time. As my brother Ezio said, I was writing a paper on Freud for a psychoanalytical journal. This work took me a lot of time and I had to read very much. Nevertheless, I glanced from time to time at your paintings and gave some likes. Now my work is over and I'm glad picking up my brushes again.
