Lovely portrait Cesare, what are those eyes thinking? Did you paint it from a photo or from a book?

Thank you Ellen. I met this guy in Padua, he was a beggar. I gave him money and took a shot, then at house I painted it because it seemed to me a very interesting person, homeless but not undignifies.

I apologize for my error. I mean: "I painted him because he seemed to me a very interesting person".

He looks sad Cesare but you should be pleased with the portrait.

He has the look of Anthony Hopkins about him

I wondered who he reminded me of, and then I looked at Tony's comment, and he does look like Anthony Hopkins. Very nicely painted Cesare. I really love those mauve shadows.

A great portrait Cesare, I agree with Adele too, I love those 'mauve' shadows.

He has the face which shouts out he is down and out. It's a profound subject and a sound piece of artwork Cesare. Nice of you to help him.

Another very expressive portrait Cesare. your portraits make the viewer want to know the story behind them Diana

Thank you Louise, Tony, Adele, Russel, Michael, and Diana for your kind words much appreciated.

excellent portrait Cesare can see the lost look in his eyes

Thank you, Gudrun and David, for your kind comments.

A splendid portrait Cesare, the man's eyes are so thoughtful and beautifully painted.

Many thanks Satu, very kind.

Lovely sensitive portrait Cesare

Thanks so much, Dermot.

Excellent work Cesare!!

Many thanks, Fiona.

Such sad, lost eyes, Cesare. A wonderful portrait. I think you have found your niche in portraits.

Many thanks for your kind words, Jennifer.

You have a knack for capturing personality and character in your portraits, Cesare. Something rather forlorn about the expression here, with a touch of melancholy and resignation. Very well done.
