Wow, Cesare! This is a terrific portrait. He looks scared and his eyes are haunted, making it a striking portrait. I would not like it on my wall because it makes me feel sad to see his fear, but it is an amazing portrait. I love the way you have painted his collar too. A great palette.

Cesare - there is something very moving and haunting about this portrait - it is always so difficult to express an emotion in portraits - the great and good have been tying for centuries ! - you've done it here beauifully
