Recognized him immediately - a great writer: given how long ago it was that he was writing, one might think him difficult, but he really isn't: he writes eternal truths because he understands the human psyche, which you, as a psychiatrist, will understand. There were several books, but Crime and Punishment will always be his masterpiece: the extraordinary thing is that one can read it today, and not find it in any way archaic.

I bought his complete works on kindle only a few months back but I regret ive not read any of it yet. Ive heard a great deal of praise for him. Its a very powerful image cesare. I'd love to read Tolstoy too. One of the few Russian writers I have read is pushkin and it was Eugene onegin which I thought was marvellous.
