I loved the portrait in the POL email today which made me come and look at your work. I was drawn to this one as I paint mainly dogs bu it amused me how, at first glance, the man seems pushed into the background by the dog even though neither of them is looking at the dog. I now work a lot in coloured pencil so I know just how long that background took you. Beautiful work.
