Good to see the two versions, Patricia. I agree about the figures, and it looks like you've done more work on the bluebells. Two good paintings.

Well spotted Lewis, you are right. I did paint in more greens as well, and softened the background. The foreground was darkened with more shadow. Thank you for your comments. Kind regards Patricia French

Definitely like this better Patricia, the darker foreground just makes it. Love bluebell woods, so beautiful.

Lovely painting and, yes, the toned down 'blue' and the 'lost' figure make the difference -splendid.

Acrylic, a scene not far from my home. This is the second version, the first one had 3 figures, but I wasn't happy, so changed it. I think it looks better.
