Eye catching painting Carol, Lovely colours

Thank you Petra

I'm not a fan of flower paintings as a rule but this is stunning. Vibrant colours and really good texture, love the abstract feel to this. What size is it?

A fabulous burst of colour, Carol! How did you achieve the textures which are in the right hand corner (and elsewhere)? Very effective.

Thanks Alan It is 11 x 15 "

Thanks Jane I put FW daler rowney ink on with a pipette, moved it around with a pallete knife. Then covered the image in cling film and moved it around a bit to get the creases and crinkle effect. Dried it partly flat, partly stood up (to let the ink move around a bit). Then carefully peeled off the cling film. That's it. It's the first time I tried this with ink and it worked well on this image.

I should say it worked well - wonderful effect.

Thanks, Carol, for explaining how you worked this painting. I've tried cling film but only a couple of times - once fairly successfully, not so good the second time, but it's certainly an interesting thing to do now and then, and your experiment has been a great success.

The colours are just stunning....super painting!

Thanks Stephen

This is just lovely. The textures and colors are gorgeous.

Thank you Seok, it's kind of you to say so.
