This is a lovely, well painted portrait, so natural and realistic.

If I was going to be critical I would observe that the hair seems a little less finished than the excellent skin tones, and of a rather washed-out umber colour - it doesn't seem to reflect the direction of light; the face, and all its features, is so well observed that there's quite a contrast between the two.

What a beautifully painted portrait, you really do make it "come alive", Well done.

She certainly is growing up fast, what a difference since the last portrait. Also your expertise is growing too. Well done.

Lovely portrait, beautiful colouring and great expression.

Thank you Ruth Robert, you are quite right about the hair - it is not finished yet (forgot to say!) and will hopefully do her justice when it is - Thank you Bill Carole - thank you I was thinking I had improved - a year made a difference to both sitter and artist! :) Thank you Leslie I will post the finished version soon her father has asked for a little tweek to her right cheek and forehead

The eloquent charm of childhood, as beautiful as a freshly dewed rose. Lots of sparkle and warmth.

I have come to your gallery to thank you for your kind comment on my Monochrome painting. I find this beautiful portrait of Kate which I recognised immediately. The skin tones in this one are just smashing. Her eyebrows are just amazing. Love the tonal value! Excellent.

Thank you again Rod! Hi Jeannette - thanks for liking the eye brows - they have been done several times - and a big thanks for liking the "tonal values" :):)
