I love that shocking pink over the hills Carole.

Gorgeous palette!

Beautiful, Carole!

Just love the palette you have used!

This is very good Carole.

Beautiful colours, love it !

As bright as they are Carole the colours work beautifully. A touch of solvent (turps) on the oil pastels will thin them.

Love the colours Carole, vibrant as ever. That’s so you!

Lovely painting Carole.

Thank you so much Marjorie, Linda, Anne, David, Stephen,Val, Romila, and George. John thank you for your comment and tip on solvent. Much appreciated.

I think you did a great job with the oil pastels. I find working with them difficult. I think the trees came out sparkling and alive. Lovely.

I love the colour palette!

I find oil pastels tricky so hats off to you!

A painting that grabs the attention Carole….very striking. There is no evidence of the difficulty you explain with the tree’s.

Love the colours in this Carole especially the pink, it makes me want to blow the dust off my rarely used oil pastels!

Love those rich sparkly trees, beautiful painting Carole.

Thank you so much Linda, Heather, Russell, Christine, Fiona, Val and Christine for your lovely, supportive comments, which are very warmly welcomed.

Fabulous! Carole.

Great colours

Well it looks good to me Carole, but that's no qualification really as I've never used oil pastels!

Your recent paintings are beautifully painted Carole with great subjects and colours.

Such beautiful colours and light Carole.

Sorry to repeat what everyone else has said but….. love the palette! I would love this on my wall to look at and regain inner calm.

I originally painted this in oils on canvas. Thought I would give it a go in oil pastels. Had great difficulty with tree details as the oil pastels were too thick. I prefer the original in oils but it was a big learning curve to use the oil pastels. Oil pastels on oil pastel paper. 12” x 14”.
