A summer meado, New Hartley, Northumberland. by Carole Kelly

This is stunning! The beautiful warm colours really make this piece stand out!

This is an amazing work, Carole, with a medium that I find very difficult!

I think this is lovely and really captures the intense heat

Super work Carole and reminds me I must brush the dust off my own oil pastels

Thank you so much Eilidh, Cesare, heather, John and Frank for your encouraging comments, especially as I am nervous about painting in such a different way. I find oil pastels a forgiving medium, in this respect.

Great to capture a feeling, which this does, Carole.

Lovely meadow Carole. Definitely summer.

A vibrant piece, in a challenging medium - I'm enjoying those occasional pops of colour which make the whole thing dance.

Definitely captured the feel of the scorched countryside with this great palette. Oil pastels defeat me. All the best with your eyes I can totally empathise.

Many thanks Marjorie,Valerie, Christine, Robert and Lesley for taking the time to look and comment so encouragingly.🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

This has a jubilant feeling to it. Full of life. It's lovely.

A wonderful painting that beautifully conveys the warm and radiant feeling of a sunny walk. 🌿😊

Thank you so much Lynne, Val-Irene and Sidra for your warm, inspirational comments. They mean a great deal to me.🌞🌞🌞

Walking in the countryside just now, is a real treat. The warmth of the sun making the fields and trees glow. Took photos on my walk and painted this scene when I got home. It’s a diversion of my usual style because of eye problems but I did enjoy painting this in a loose style. Oil pastels on canvas board, 12” x 10”.
