Just wanted to paint this image I saw on Pinterest. It has been painted by so many, in so many different ways and I wanted to paint it how I imagined it to work. I know she looks a bit skinny and bony but I loved the overall elegance. Pity I couldn’t get her red shoes to fit on the paper and didn’t want to sacrifice the wide brimmed hat to do so. It was great fun to paint though. Soft pastels and pastel pencils on black mixed media paper, 12” x 16”.
