Wow! Carl if you completed this in watercolour and biro and completed it in 30 minutes, then you are a genius, seriously the detail in that face is truly outstanding

Thanks Ros I read an artical in leisure painter this month about 'Just watercolour' ... (A DVD about going straight in with watercolour ) Thought I would try it. I was not happy with how it was going so added in the details with biro which really helped the image. It is a very quick way of working I might do it again sometime.

This is a watercolour and biro sketch of a chimpanzee .... I did not use a pencil, I started with watercolour washing in colours and tones. I then added some details with a black biro to finish. Only took about 30mins to complete...
