Hi Carl, not knowing the subject, its difficult to comment on the resulting likeness, but what I like is technique you have used and the tonal difference.

This is a watercolour of a horse named Rory. It is easy to draw a face but difficult to make it look like a particular person.. It is also easy to draw a picture of a horse but the hard part was making it look like Rory. I have been told by the owner that it looks just like Rory .. So I'm happy with that.
