Gold vase and daisies

Gold vase and daisies

It is now a lovely watercolour Beverley - love the colours in the vase against the brilliant white of the daisies.

Thankyou very much for your encouragement Glennis. It did though in fact become an acrylic ! :)

Beverley, have you noticed that there is two profiles on the pot? A man and a woman looking a bit serious but lovely. This is a strong painting with good colours and I really love the background. Thank you for commenting on my paintings, very kind.

Well I never Satu - I see what you mean. How odd ! Thankyou for your lovely comment.

Mixed media on watercolour paper approx 90 x 70 This started life as a truly awful watercolour, painted over 20 years ago and stuffed into my old college portfolio. It was a wishy washy bunch of daffodils in a glass celery jar. It they were sitting on a blue checked tablecloth. I dragged it out and painted all over it, stuck things on it using gel transfers , painted over those, then painted over it again. I splashed the daisies on and changed the vase shape and colour several times. I also used some ancient gold liquid leaf paint that had thickened over the years and had become the consistency of treacle. It's in the bin now.( the gold paint, not the painting.)
