Gouache is fun to use - one thing I'd suggest to anyone who thinks of taking it up though is ensure you have enough colours, especially earth colours: the selection of paints in Designer's Gouache sets is generally too limited (and keep an eye out for the lightfastness - more gouache is lightfast these days than it used to be, but not so long ago it was used mainly by designers, and permanence wasn't necessary). I like the colour palette in your painting - not entirely sure about the shape of the pot in the foreground, but then; First Go.
