Forgot to add that your title reminded me of a tutor's words from art college many years ago. When plant drawing she always talked about flowers/plants whooshing and pushing up to the light (actually she had an accent and said woooshing and poooshing) and told us to remember that when painting them. Good advice I thought and often repeat those words in my mind when painting!
