This is so well painted I can't see that much advice is needed - perhaps the main trees could have a little more to the right to form the clasic 'L' shaped composition although it works well as it is - I do like it

Lovely landscape, nice palette colours

I agree with Michael, this is very atmospheric. Even before reading his comment, I thought of telling you that I would have painted the trees on 1/3 from the right hand side. Now (in my opinion) they are a bit too much in the centre. Anyway, it is a great painting and I like it.

It reminds me of the Russian masters of the late 19th century - before the rise of brutalism, but that's another subject! The best you can do with this sort of thing is to concentrate on textures and incidental detail, plus composition, so yes, I agree with Mia about bringing the trees slightly to the right, to around 1/3rd from the right hand margin; the other thing I would suggest is an increase in the tonal contrast, so that you have strong lights (from the left) to contrast with the darks. However: I only say this because you specifically asked for advice (and certainly not because I would have thought of doing it myself!). This is a very fine and beautifully constructed painting, of which you can be proud.

Great sky, great painting...hope you do more.

A beautiful atmospheric painting. Spot on Brian.

Thanks to all for the comments. Its great to get valuable feedback and encouragement.
