Peace, perfect peace - there is a story a friend of mine tells about his grandfather: dozing in the armchair with a favourite cat on his lap, he awoke suddenly, convinced he could hear a doodle-bug (ie, the Nazis' war-time flying bomb) approach. Leaping to his feet, and dislodging the very annoyed cat, he dashed outside to the air-raid shelter. Where it eventually struck him that what he had heard was not a doodle-bug, the war having been over for a year or two, but the cat, purring. Profuse apologies directed feline-wards afterwards: we trust she forgave him. Marvellous painting.

Yes I agree, a great feeling of contentment for the trio.
