i dont think you need to have a purpose if the result is as good as this i weill now go off and google Mucha.

Definitely a 'Mucha' image Brenda and very art nouveau, I'm a fan of it myself. Lovely soft colours throughout.

Inspired by Mucha. I love Art Nouveau, and after seeing a black and white lino cut of some herons, I got the idea to combine them with an imaginary lady, and somehow the herons turned into flamingos, and the whole thing became art nouveau. I never have any idea how things will turn out when I start a picture. Aren't you supposed to have a purpose when composing a painting?
