Nice one Brenda, love the detail, my only critic, is that it would possibly have more impact if you had added more tonal depth in the shadows.

Have just read your blog Brenda, and I think that your poppy is lovely. Glad that you liked your 2 day course. I went on one years ago and have many, fond memories of it. It also improved my work alot !

Thanks Peter... I'll have a go at another one, do you mean make it darker in tone at and near the bottom of the petals?.. And all petals or just the centre ones?

Hi Sarah...thank you. I enjoyed the course that much I am going to see if I can book again but do the landscapes one. I have just bought a large 'scrap book' to put my efforts and notes in... That way I can see if I am improving and in which direction my talents may lie.
