Welsh stone. by Bob Hill
Oil sketch on canvas board, approx 8x6 inches. This is the ancient Arthur's Stone, on the central ridge of Gower, Wales. It is really a very large rock that at some unknown point in its history has been split into two. Of course, the stone itself is the subject of endless legend and mystery. When I lived in South Wales I found this remote location to be somewhere to visit and reflect on the things that get lost in the usual pace of life.
