I'd appreciate honest criticism, please.

It's all about the draughtsmanship. Yor rendering is always very good Frank, but on this occasion the actual drawing lets it down. I think most of us need to improve our drawing skills, especially with figures/life drawing, practise is the only solution. Being fairly new to this myself it's awkward to critique, and am not really qualified to, but you asked. Wait till Derek sees it.
