Fantastic use of watercolour. Stunning colours and definitely my sort of painting. Well done!

I just love it! What a beautiful way to paint a sunflover. How big is it and could we have more, please?!

Agree with Thea, very beautiful and well done...

Gorgeous ! My favourite colours. I too would love to see more of these ! Louise

There ought to be a sunflower in these colours....it's gorgeous!

I think its wonderful. You have managed to do EXACTLY as you intended and it's better than what a camera could do. Well done. Great painting. jx

Wonderful burst of colour. Very expressive.

Lovely depiction of the common sunflower. It's very beautiful.

I forgot to add that I'm really quite jealous ! I wish that I'd painted this ! Louise

Thankyou for your comments ... it makes me think I am on the roght track to go from just what is front of me ..my husband thinks I have lost the plot ! In answer the size is 14x11 witjout the mount i use a 3inch double mount so framed it looks bigger I do have a web site Bev Wells Art Class Happy Painting everyone

This is such an exciting painting. Very dynamic and lifted my spirits straight away. Super skills. Husband WRONG!!

An explosion of colour, a wonderful painting. I agree with Carole super skills and imagination.

I couldn't agree more with the great comments you have had for this painting - I love it. Robina

No Beverley you haven't lost the plot - I think you have found it! Stunning work. I just wish I could let go as freely as this. And the Wacky fella is just as good. So look forward to seeing more.

Thankyou so much think I will have a go at a wacky dog ... I used to paint pet portraits long ago ...so will see where the freedom takes me ... there must be something to this wacky stuff after all ./..just hope my workshop ladies and gentlemen dont mind me straying away from the normal although I never was completely normal lol

Had to take another look. It's amazing how many things you can see in this. A bird in flight, a bumble bee, fireworks..........................its what this style of art should be - open to the viewers interpretation. Turn it on it's side and I see a demon. So who's normal now? Keep at it!

Now I myself can see the face turned on its side and a mustache ! with a gold patch above the eye Blimey I though I was painting a sunflower lol And what about the hairstyle !

Looks like late 70's Punk I think ! All spikes and dye. What fun! Thank you.

This is lovely.. you have a natural talent for loose watercolour.. very vibrant and alive- keep going in this direction... it's great. Also- watercolours like this lend themselves to big paintings.....and even bigger mounts....!!! Vivien Edge.

I find myself wanting to explore a different way to paint flowers ..other than the draw it paint it ..I never was botanical although I admire the skoll needed to be so ..I like to paint something the camera can not create ..or the garden grow ..but use both as reference to paint from .. If that makes sence .I agree this is not your normal Sunflower !!!
