Wonderful piece of art Ben, so much interest and detail and a great compositional work.

Thanks Fiona,<br />The North Easterners love these , they tell me wonderful stories about their heritage of the heavy industries that surrounded their lives , a hard yet shared existence, Thankyou for your feedback

I looked at this for ages, so much atmosphere. I love the range of colours too.

Wonderful painting for a very difficult subject, very well mastered, Ben.

What an epic Ben! We really get the feel of the shipyard workers marching through time. The way you&#39;ve captured them too, quite ethereal. My dad worked in Wallsend, tho&#39; not in the shipyards.

Original Watercolour painted on stretched Rough 'Arches' 140lb. Paper was prepared with and Acrylic wash of red to preserve the integrity of the paper allowing for easier lifting of colour from the paper. Ben uses stencils to preserve areas of colours to lift out the Ghost figures and he has worked with a Golden rectangle to create a serene composition.
