A for Apple

The shape of the fruit is good and the painting follows the round form well. The depression of the core and stalk is very well observed. You have noticed how the light is falling but I wish you had not used Paynes Grey for the shadow because the colour of it should be a shade of the horizontal surface.

Thanks Peter for your feedback - this was my first painting so much to learn. I have taken on board your comment about the grey shadow, much appreciated.

The apple and the highlight is very good, Belinda, very 3D. Peter is right about the shadow's colour.

Great apple Belinda!

Good apple.

I could take a bite out of that - well done Belinda

Very good Apple Belinda, looks nice enough to eat.

Thankyou so much Marjorie, Diane, Painful Painter, Heather and Gillian for your comments, very much appreciated. Best wishes Belinda
