Hello Jenifer thank you very much for your comments, Hello Margaret, thank you for your lovely comments, the original photograph was taken in black and white, Tim Lewis the Director at Lewis Coaches guided me throughout the planning process, I do not live very far from Charlton Stadium, Floyd Road is still pretty much as it was back then, one thing I did have to take into account the railings on the front gardens were all missing because of the War effort, that's the level of attention to detail it required, once again thank you,

Victory Parade for me a double celebration Charlton Athletic winning the FA Cup in 1947 and the Centenary celebrations in 2005 aproached by Tim a Director of Lewis Coaches who originally supplied the coach that took all the players on Victory Parade, the date was Saturday 26th April 1947 FA Cup Final Day Charlton v Burnley at the Empire Stadium Wembley attendance 98,215 neither side scoring after 90 minutes into extra time 114 minutes the ball is passed to Duffy he strikes it on the volley passed the Burnley Goalkeeper final score Charlton 1 Burnley 0 3 players central to the picture located on the top of the coach are very important to the left is Chris Duffy, Goal Scorer, centre is Don Welsh Captain and to the right is Sam Bartrum Goal Keeper,
