This is excellent Barry. I love the way you have put the image together - I am always drawn to mixed media work and love to see snippets of collage and news print peeping through the layers. Do you know the work of Mike Bernard and Chris Forsey? I am sure it would appeal to you.

I had decided to have a go at painting in mixed media for a change. I realised I'd found an ideal subject for this whilst in Polperro recently on a stage of the Southwest Coast Path (which has provided inspiration for several paintings). I began with some collage, but that soon became covered by layers of acrylic as well as the use of inks, oil pastels and pens. This was great fun to do.

Began painting in my early twenties, but family and teaching career intervened until I took early retirement in 1997.
