A day in Cromer by Barry Hulme
Painting plein air in Cromer today saw the light on this street and had to paint it. Used Aches half imperial 140 lb rough. Had a few strange looks from passers by as I piled in the dark pigment and I'm sure they didn't believe me when I told them it would all come together when I added the figures and the highlights. Not sure I believed myself as I struggled to get the darks right in as few washes as possible but I think it all came good in the end.
