I love this, the beautiful delicate, transparent flowers. What media were involved if you don't mind my asking. Thanks Carole.

Very eyecatching. It's good to just "go with the flow" sometimes with watercolour, especially when they turn out like this.

Thanks for your comments Carole .I used watercolour and an ink pen.The initial washes were quite transparent but when I had drawn all the flowers with pen I used the paint less diluted.

I bet I could make a REALLY loathsome mess if I tried this technique... but you have inspired me to try it. Lovely touches and beautiful colour in your painting.

I began this painting by putting a bright wash of colours over the paper...I then picked out various shapes with pen to become flowers...I finally went back in with more colour to define and tone...
