A Galgo is the Spanish version of a Greyhound.Their tremendous speed is used in hunting Unfortunetly some of them are gun-shy & others wareout very quickly so are of no more use to the owners.They are then usually abandoned or worse.They are the sweetest natured dogs & make good family pets especially with children.

I have not seen this breed before. What an elegant dog - how could anyone abandon him?? Your portrait perfectly describes his character as he comes over as a reserved and dignified dog - am I right?

The hottest corner of Hell is reserved for those who abandon dogs. Beautiful animal, and it goes without saying he's beautifully painted.

Thanks again for your comments.Galgos are greyhounds, their speed is used in hunting ,so many of them don't comeup to scratch & out they go ! there are charities set up especially to help galgos as they are so abussed.I try to help our local charity by donating portraits for raffle prizes.Angel was saved by this group luckily he did find a "forever home" if you would like to read more,www.happy-ending-final-feliz.eu
