Another good one David, I love the water reflecting the sky in the puddles.

Thank you for your kind comment, Bryan.

Excellent David.

Superb David.

Thank you Denise and Chris!

Well painted of a good subject, Mad Carew would be pleased. I also grew up and live in S.A. and Rhodesia for many happy years. I also live in England now. There's a one-eyed yellow idol to the north of Khatmandu, There's a little marble cross below the town; There's a broken-hearted woman tends the grave of Mad Carew, And the Yellow God forever gazes down. He was known as "Mad Carew" by the subs at Khatmandu, He was hotter than they felt inclined to tell; But for all his foolish pranks, he was worshipped in the ranks, And the Colonel's daughter smiled on him as well.

Thank you David!!!!

Lovely David. Love the detail round the water. Fab!!

Thank you Faye for your kind comment.

Another spectacular painting David of this small holding from the Karoo setting. Lovely cottage and undulating humps in the background, I remember so well! We lived over in Transvaal, Zululand and Natal for eight years. Remember travelling across the Karroo and it has a certain appeal that resonates with South Africa.

Always good and this is particularly so.

Thank you Angela and Heather for your very kind comments! Glad my paintings are bringing back memories for you, Angela!!

Thank you Spencer.

This is really excellent David. Love the smallholding and the trees are excellent too.

Thank you for your kind comment, David.

I love this landscape because it looks so African and your colours are so harmonious. The farmhouse is particularly good and full of stories.

Another watercolour of one of my favourite areas to paint in South Africa. I painted this from a photograph taken by a friend and will pass the painting to him!
