A sketch I completed this morning of this parrot family bird using ink, pencil, soluble watercolour pencils and watercolour paint. I first came across this bird in a car park on Arthur's Pass in the Southern Alps in South Island. They are notorious for "attacking" the rubber sealant strips on the front windscreens of motor vehicles. They certainly had a go at our hire car!!
