Disaster.

Disaster.

I intended another abstract landscape based on my previous one (Exploring Possibilities 2). A few unfortunate decisions at the beginning derailed it completely (hence the title). My tutor said to treat it as a learning experience, so I finished it as a completely abstract painting, having had to re-work large sections of it. Although I don't think I'll fiddle with this one I'd be interested in critique for future.

Good development Sandra, and good for you persevering. I like your colours, it reminds me of an open book with the story coming to life? :)

I find it a pleasing work Sandra well thought out and good colours way not a disaster

Carole, Dennis, thank-you very much. It did end up better than I had thought it would.

I like the Art Deco feel of this, Sandra. It reminds me a bit of Clarice Cliff pottery. Lovely bold colours.

Ellen, Margaret, thank-you for your kind comments.

About the Artist
Sandra Kennedy

I became hooked on painting when I joined an evening class on painting "Abstracts in Acrylic" some years ago. Now retired, I was painting fairly regularly until the last couple of years when I've had a "creative drought". This year I'm getting back into painting, concentrating on abstract.
