Oil on canvas. This was painted over a failed painting which I had whited out, but some darker areas were still showing. It was done over three sessions with the help of an artist friend who was giving me tuition. Interesting to work on a painting together. Wide narrow canvas was hard to photograph.

I became hooked on painting when I joined an evening class on painting "Abstracts in Acrylic" some years ago. Now retired, I was painting fairly regularly until the last couple of years when I've had a "creative drought". This year I'm getting back into painting, concentrating on abstract.
