This painting was inspired by the cherry blossom which travels the length of Japan in spring. This is celebrated in Japan and is known as Sakura. Birds enjoy the nectar of the little pink and white flowers. The birds in this picture are Japanese White Eye or Zosterops Japonicus. Tiny little birds.
