This is fantastic Jo. I especially admire his wet, shiny nose, his eyes and his attire.

A gorgeous portrait, beautifully painted. You've captured the traits of the breed (that lackadaisical gaze belying the wheels spinning madly in their minds) completely!

Sometimes these anthropomorphic animal portraits go too far, much does not necessarily mean greater humour. This portrait is understated and all the better for it. Yes I'm jealous!

Thank you all for your lovely comments, I really appreciate them! If anyone is interested, Harold is for sale.

This painting depicts a Basset Hound head portrait, dressed in a white shirt and black jacket, set against a vibrant backdrop of lime green and pink stripes. This is an acrylic painting, layers of paint and glazes have been built up to create depth of fur.
